Wellington's Cable Car

Wellington, July 17th 2015

A train-freak I am, a cable car is a must, for it runs on rails.
At Lambton Quay, here comes my cable car.
Hmmm... it's somewhat like Hong Kong's Victoria Peak Tram. Both, an English thing. No coincidence. However, this time, through my cable car window seat, this part of NZ's landscape falls behind that of HK's viewed from Victoria Peak Tram's window seat.

Arriving at final terminus: Kelburn.
Cable Car Museum
It's interesting for me that despite being a high-living-cost country (in my point of view), museum entrances in New Zealand are often free, like this Cable Car Museum. Plus! Speedy Wi-Fi. Speedy and free. You know, when it comes to WiFi, those two don't interact quite often.

Cool idea of seats, making passengers feel more comfortable while the cable car rolls over the steep hill.
In case anyone is interested. Some light-history-freak, maybe...
A photo everyone makes.
Everyone goes to Wellington, too!

Kelburn Outlook exclude a distracting cable car :D
Space Place. Yes, space. Space under the tree.

This had been in my itinerary actually... It didn't work out as planned. Bad weather was to be blamed. Different story.

Still trying to convince myself: It's winter.
Pretty. Lovely. Cute. Exuberant.

Had I not been waiting for the shuttle to Zealandia, I would have walked down this road. Alluring.

Next: Zealandia Sanctuary. See you there.
